2014 / 2015 – Adult Sunday School Class

This year we will embark on a journey through three books of the Bible of Genesis, John and Romans. We will start this series off with a short introduction to the Inductive Bible Study Technique.

(1) The Inductive Bible Study Technique teaches you a method of studying God’s Word that can be applied to any portion of Scripture at any time for the rest of your life.

(2) Genesis is a foundational book of the Bible. There are at least 165 passages in Genesis that are either directly quoted or clearly referred to in the New Testament. Many of these are alluded to more than once, so there are at least 200 quotations or allusions to Genesis in the New Testament.

(3) In John’s gospel we see the beginnings of belief, the opposition to belief, the strengthening of belief, and the culmination of belief as the disciples come to believe in the resurrected, divine Messiah.

(4) Paul and Romans: an unbeatable combination that delivers the knockout punch to any works-oriented righteousness before God; a soothing remedy for the soul that longs for peace with God; and a hopeful proclamation that God has begun to put the world to rights with himself. (5) Each week you will receive a handout with five Scripture verses that apply to the lesson with a blank for a missing word to be filled in by the participant.
