GEMS is a non-denominational ministry to girls, and stands for ‘Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior’. The goal of each club meeting is to help girls learn how to love and care for their relationship with God, one another, other people, and themselves.
While there are many opportunities open to boys and girls at school and in the community, GEMS provides a different kind of experience just for girls. It embraces the Titus 2 principle in which women are to mentor and train younger women and girls in “what is good” – to be loving and kind, self controlled and pure. How? By learning about Jesus, what He has done for us, and His plans for each one of us.
Webster CRC GEMS Club meets twice a month on Sundays from 12:30- 2:00 pm at church. Activities include devotionals, songs with creative (dance – like) movement, badge and craft activities, games, and fun! The program materials are exciting, relevant to the world we live in today, and are designed to help the girls learn how everything in life relates to Jesus and His love for us.
Our schedule can be found on the ‘Events’ calendar. The program is open to girls in grades 1- 8. For more information contact Nancy Vanden Bout at 585-872-1858.
